MY FAVOURITE SONG ON THE ENTIRE EARTH (/\)
Your sword's grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It's locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it's done And though it's been a long time You're right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you're giving up the gun When I was 17 I had wrists like steel And I felt complete And now my body fades Behind a brass charade And I'm obsolete But if the chance remained To see those better days I'd cut the cannons down My ears are blown to bits From all the rifle hits But I still crave that sound Your sword's grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It's locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it's done And though it's been a long time You're right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you're giving up the gun I heard you play guitar Down at a seedy bar Where skinheads used to fight Your Tokugawa smile And your garbage style Used to save the night You felt the coming wave Told me we'd all be brave You said you wouldn't flinch But in the years that passed Since I saw you last You haven't moved an inch Your sword's grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It's locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it's done And though it's been a long time You're right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you're giving up the gun I see you shine in your way Go on, go on, go on Your sword's grown old and rusty Burnt beneath the rising sun It's locked up like a trophy Forgetting all the things it's done And though it's been a long time You're right back where you started from I see it in your eyes That now you're giving up the gun ~Neo

the journey of changing one's mind, heart, self, or way of life ~Neo In every work of genius we recognize our own rejected thoughts.
They come back to us with a certain alienated majesty. -Ralph Waldo Emerson [writer and philosopher] ~Neo Noun
A deep, endless homesickness, for a home to which you can't ever return, Or for a home which never was. ~Neo Yeah. It's been awhile since I've gotten to post. Terribly sorry, bit of social drama.
Actually that's why I was making this 1st day of spring post. Last night was tough. Up til' 1:30 all depressed and texting four different people, and I thought, 'Wow. My life was going so good'. Then came my metaphorical hard winter. Summer was dead, Fall was over. Winter. I'd never been so unhappy. Then I woke. Warm light was peering through the slit in my blackouts. It was the first day of spring. I was irrationally elated, given the circumstances. But, I digress. The post is supposed to say something to the effect of, "Some things can really make you sad, but A LOT OF THINGS can make you really happy" Thanks for your time ~ Neo Some people bask in it's water, unsalted, and clean themselves of stress, dancing and splashing round, happy that the constant sun will return the very next day, do bring the rain back into the clouds, but some people just get wet.

A young person, especially a "Hippie",rejecting conventional society and advocating love, peace, and simple, idealistic values. More Words every week, ~Neo What can I say? I love it. Whether I'm having a bad day, or I think I will have one, music is always there for me. Like a good friend you can say. Today was one of those days, I suppose, so listening to iHeartRadio foster the People came on. Not a band listen to a lot of, with the whistling at the beginning of "don't stop", for some reason I was really happy.
A sort of energy. Not the sort of energy that comes from a Rockstar, or a good coffee, But a really honest, happy energy. Starting out your day thinking "I'm going to have a really good day." Now don't get me wrong, I am so proud of, I'm so glad for our firemen and policemen, I love US soldiers, even Allied soldiers, because those are heroes, but there's something to be said about people who write good music. They are heroes too in a sense. They save lives too. ~Neo A good love is like a good memory. When it's there, and you know it's there, it can be all you think about. The harder you push and try to reach for it, the further it slips out of your reach. but if you calm down, and stop struggling, maybe, just maybe, it'll come to you.

A term used in maritime law - To impact a stationary object (not submerged), such as a bridge abutment or dolphin, pier or wharf, or another vessel made fast to a pier or wharf. More than incidental contact is required. The vessel is said to "allide" with the fixed object and is considered at fault. As opposed to collision. O*Phe*Li*A
defined as being dependent on another person's thoughts, feelings or actions. The syndrome gets it name from a character in Shakespeare's "Hamlet." ~Neo I don't remember where I first heard this quote, but it has to be my favorite.
"If 'Plan A' didn't pan out, chill. There are 25 more letters in the alphabet." ~Neo I watch as they fall, As they renew, as they wash away the dirt.
I watch as everything is wiped away, clean, new, fresh Oh bliss, Oh rain, won’t you wash away me, myself? Won’t you wash away my troubles, and leave only joy behind, grant me anew? Oh why, I ask why can’t I be washed off, rather than away? ~Neo |
